Vegetarians have fewer chances of having weight gain.
The main reason can be the fiber content. In a vegetarian diet, there is more fiber content from fruits and vegetables. The best sources of fiber are fruits and minerals. But if we take look at the Non-vegetarian diet, they eat less amount of fiber as compared with vegetarian.
Non-vegetarian diets are mostly based on animal sources and if they eat plant-based sources, their frequency is also less. If a person will eat more fiber then the condition like a weight is less likely to occur, but if a person eats more amount of animal sources then there will be weight gain because of the fat content of the meat.
This is true in fact researchers also have said that, if you won't lose weight then go for vegetarian foods.
Vegetarian diets have fewer chances of developing Diabetes.
The truth is, it is actually right. As vegetarian diets are based on plant-based diets like grains, nuts, green leafy vegetables, fruits. These are the food which has fewer chances of developing diabetes. These are also the low glycemic index food which is the best for a healthy body.
But in a Non-vegetarian diet, meat and other products are high sources of glycemic index foods. So that is why these people have more chances of developing diabetes.
Non-vegetarian foods are an enemy of heart health.
One research has shown an effect of a non-vegetarian diet on heart health. These diets are high in fat like saturated fat, trans fat. These total fats have a bad effect on heart health and in the future people can also develop heart diseases like heart attack, hypertension (blood pressure), and other heart-related diseases also.
The other research also said the DASH diet which is high in fruits, vegetables and less in meat products is very effective and successful in people having heart disease. But they said don't have to go for strict vegetarianism. Fish can be included.
The bottom line is eating the right food can be effective, don't have to change your whole diet.
Want to control blood pressure ignore meat in your diet.
Researchers have said, If a person wants to low his/her blood pressure, then he/she should choose vegetarian food.
As non-vegetarian foods are processed foods that have a high amount of fat and sodium also. These factors are really harmful to blood pressure. So the better option is vegetarian in which you will have less amount of sodium, fat and large amount fibers, vitamin, minerals.
A vegetarian diet develops a low chance of cancer.
It is also true, as vegetarian foods high in more fiber and less fat. Dietitians also suggest a person with less or no meat consumption has rare chances of developing cancer in the future.
The bottom line is when you consume a vegetarian diet is always going to help you for making good life and a good body. But that doesn't mean that you have to shift to strict vegetarian or vegan foods.
What you can do is eat less amount fat in your other foods. And also use less fat in the preparation of meat and meat items. And try to reduce your consumption of meat in daily life. Because animal-based food also can make you obsessed and obesity is a link with every disease and also the beginning of many diseases.
