Let's make children to love Chapatti's (with little twist)!!

We all love food. We do eat it but when it comes to children there will be lots of tension. Because children are very moody. They will not eat food easily. Because it is also depended upon what they saw if they like the appearance of the food then they will easily eat it but when they don't like it then you have to go back after them and sometimes you also have to roam around your whole house. Exotic!!

I know but here we are for you and we will give the best options to you.

Let's start then!!!

Today we are going to give you recipes of Chapatis. It is the Indian version of the food. The most common food item in India. You will find this food in each and every house.

1. Palak/spinach Chapati

First, take spinach/palak (take leaves and stems both). Wash it properly and then grind it and you can also add some green chilies. Now take wheat flour and add all the spinach mixture to it. Then add some salt(as per your taste), carom seed/ ajwain, and oil (1/2 tbsp). Then make it like dough but remember the dough should be soft and for that, you can also add some water to it.

Then make balls (small) from it and roll them. Take Pan/Tava preheat it and then bake the chapati on it. You can also cook with the help of oil.

You serve it with curd, or you can serve it with chutney or pickle. But for kids just roll it and give them the taste of it is really awesome and accepted by children easily.

Now you will be thinking how it is healthy of course it is healthy, it is rich in carbohydrates and has a good amount of protein also. As spinach is also rich in iron. It is also helpful when you have to introduce new foods to the children.

2. Rice Chapati

This sounds strange I know but taste-wise it is very unique. You can cook rice or you can also use the leftover for sure. Take the rice and add wheat flour (but keep in mind that the wheat flour amount should be more than rice so they can easily bind). You can add onion if you want then add some red chili powder, cumin seeds/jeera, carom seed/ajwain, salt (as per taste), and some oil. But keep this in your mind there will be no need for water to make the dough because rice has a very good capacity for binding. If you will add some water then it might not turn into the proper dough so just skip the water. But if you think without water it will not bind then go for sure but use just some drops of water.

And when you are making dough don't apply more pressure to it because it just needs a soft hand and very little pressure. When the dough is ready make little balls from it. Now roll the chapati but please apply very little pressure. Then pre hear the Tava/Pan and bake the chapati on it but here the oil is a must otherwise the chapati will not be baked properly.

It is high in carbohydrates and protein also. As children require more energy but in this way, they will eat a good amount of energy.

3. Dal chapati

If you leftover dal and don't know what you can do then make chapati from it. Take dal and add it into wheat flour. Then add some oil, ajwain/carom seeds, salt (as per taste), and add a little amount of salt as there will be already in dal. Then make dough of it. If water is needed then add water. Make small balls from it and roll the chapati.

Preheat the Tava/ Pan and bake the chapati on it. Use the oil for baking. You serve it with curd or groundnut chutney.

It is high in carbohydrates and protein also. The child will love the taste of it for sure.

4. Rice and Dal chapatis

It is one of the tastiest chapatis I have ever had. And i is also easy in preparation.

Take rice and dal you can prepare them fresh or you can also use the leftovers. Then add wheat flour but add according to proportion. Take rice and add less dal in amount. Then add oil, salt, and ajwain/carom seeds. And don't use water for making dough. Once the dough is ready then make a small ball from it and roll it.

Preheat the Pan/Tava and bake it with the help of oil. I am telling once you will try this then you will develop some different perspectives towards chapati.

It is high in protein, carbohydrates, and minerals also. Children will love this food for sure.

5. Pavbhaji Chapatis

Many times we often think that sometimes pav bhaji is left, and you don't want to throw it so I have the best solutions for you.

Take bhaji and add wheat flour, oil (1/2 tbsp), very little salt, and ajwain/Carom seeds to it. Make dough from it. Not add water because of bhaji of pav bhaji all ready some liquidy in texture. So there will be no problem in making dough from it. After the dough is ready make little balls and roll the chapatis.

Take a Pan/Tava and preheat and bake the chapati with the help of oil.

As bhaji content lots of food ingredients and it will be rich in carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, and minerals also.

6. Mix Veggie Chapatis

Take carrot, radish, cabbage, and onion. Then add only salt and some Ajwain/Carom seeds to the dough. And grate them all and add wheat flour but do remember that they leave the water so don't add water to the dough if you need then add very little. Don't apply pressure more because if you will apply more pressure to the dough then it can also turn out to be a spread version and there will be no binding at all.

Then make small balls of it and very lightweight hand make the chapatis. Don't apply more pressure to it otherwise the chapati will not be turn out to be great. Then preheat the Pan/Tava and with the help of oil bake the chapatis.

It is really tasty and in this way also you make children fall for veggies. Serve it with curd.

Food is all about modification (I think). Because with the modification you turn the simple food into some tasty and healthy food also. So keep trying new things for your children. I hope this data will help you out for sure.

Stay healthy and stay safe.
