Seasonal foods for refreshing and cooling your body

Summer is the season when everybody wishes to stay at home or a place with cool air.

As the temperature increases every day in summer. Some days we can not even tolerate the heat. But with the help of foods we can always make our day better and in fact, staying healthy is you always choose the correct option of foods. 

One of the important things is staying hydrated is in summer. Many people avoid this fact but if you stay hydrated then you will never feel tiredness, dizziness, or other symptoms that are common in summer. 

Here is the list of foods which you should consume in summer:

1. Cucumber 

Cucumber tastes really nice and has a very crunchy food texture. 

Cucumber is filled with many vitamins, minerals, fiber. It also keeps you hydrated. and very good food for your skin also. 

It contains fluid in it and when you will chew it in your mouth will be filled with crunchiness and water. 

It also contains lots of water and you can easily carry it anywhere.

You can make a salad of it, or you can make curry, or you can also add in some smoothies. 

It is also easily available in the local market. 

2. Mint

One of the refreshing food we can say is mint. After chewing 1-2 leaves of mint you will feel refreshed. 

We can have it in tea, ice tea, juices, ice cream, chutney. 

It is a good source of Vitamin C and also rich in antioxidants. It also keeps your gut cool and makes your stomach healthy. 

One of the low-cost food and easy to find in the local market. 

3. Watermelon

It is a seasonal fruit that tastes fresh whenever you eat it. It is very juicy itself, you can easily eat it without anything and it still will be tasty. 

You can eat it raw or make juice of it or ice cream. 

It is sweet in taste and contains lots of water which keeps you hydrated. It also contains electrolytes to keep you healthy. 

It is high in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and also gives you refreshment.

4. Lemon 

The most ancient used food in summer is lemon. It is used in every house for making summer cool drinks. 

Lemon is sour in taste and you can make ice tea or lemonade or you can always squeeze some lemon in every dish. 

It is the best source of vitamin C and also high in antioxidants. 

It also gives you refreshing and you can also carry this thing in the bottle anywhere. 

5. Coconut water

The best ready-to-swallow drink we can say. If you feel dizzy or having slight weakness on a summer day then coconut water is the best drink for you. 

We don't have to add anything to it and its nature which is the best thing about it.

It contains plenty of minerals, vitamins, and keeps you hydrated. 

If having deficiency only one drink is sufficient to full fill all the amounts of nutrients. 

6. Curd/yogurt

Curd protects your body from heat. 

It is high in probiotics and also a good source of protein. You can easily make them. And the benefit is milk also gives you coolness in summer. Cold milk is always best in summer. 

You can eat curd or you can make smoothies, or buttermilk or you can also add them in curry. 

With airtight, you can carry curd anywhere.  

7. Melon

It is seasonal food and every time you take a bite of it, it melts in your mouth. 

It is rich in water, electrolytes, minerals, fiber. 

You can eat or you can also make smoothies or juice. 

You can find them in the local market. 

It is also traditional sweet food in many countries. 

8. Litchi 

It is also seasonal food and with really nice taste. 

It is really juicy, contains vitamin C, vitamin B complex, and also contains minerals.

You can easily eat them raw and you can make ice tea or juice of it. 

They can be found easily in the local market.
